Influence

Influence is a non-dimensional measure between -1 and +1. It indicates a measurement’s effect on the balance result set if the measurement is changed or removed completely from the balance. For example, if an element’s influence is 0.0, changing its measured value does not change the overall quality of fit for the balance. If the influence of an Element is +1 or –1, the measurement for that Element dominates the overall balance for the model; and any change in the measurement has a significant impact on the quality of fit for the balance.
